“But Gideon prayed to God again. “Don’t be angry with me,” Gideon said. “Let me try this just one more time, so I’ll really be sure you’ll help me. Only this time, let the skin be dry and the stone floor be wet.” That night, God made the stone floor wet with dew, but he kept the sheep skin dry.”

Judges 6:39-40 CEV

God is patient with us. He doesn’t get angry when we don’t trust Him completely. His anger is connected to a very long fuse because He is love.

God revealed Himself to Gideon as trustworthy several times, yet Gideon didn’t trust God. If Gideon would have trusted God, Gideon would have trusted in what God said about Gideon.

Our lack of believing in who God says we are is just as much unbelief in trusting in Who God says He is.

Yet, God is patient with us in our unbelief. He patiently reveals Himself to us. He patiently reminds us who we are in Him.

Remember, to not believe in what He says about you is to not believe in Him.

What is the truth of who you are in Jesus that you are not living as if you believe it?
