Bye-Bye-Bye… to PRAIZN

Now that I’m a resident and now a registered driver in Kansas I have had to remove my PRAIZN license plate.

Even though I have taken a lot of heat over the past 5+ years for the personalized plate, for example: “Prainz Raisin,” Praiz-mobile,” ect., it is sad knowing that the next chapter of my life is one without my PRAIZN identity.

Hello Average Joe

I don’t think my Escape liked the idea of me removing the license plates either as it rebelled and tried to hold on to them by having rusted screws. After popping the heads of the screws, I was then met with the dilemma of getting the new state-generated, average-joe license plate on, because the screws were in the holes and I had no way of getting them out.

After several days of trying different things and sporting my license plate in my back window, I finally got the new plates on. But it didn’t happen without a little minor surgery.

Yes, I had to take the panel off to get the vice-gribs to grip the screw holder and keep it from spinning so I could drill the screw out – or just drill a pilot hole in the old screw so I could use a self-tapping screw to put the license plate on.

New Possibilities

Now with Kansas only having a back license plate, I can now put a decorative plate in my front location. I want to put a Kansas Jayhawk plate there, but everywhere I look they are $20+.

So I’m now in the market for 2 decorative KU license plates for my escape and taurus. The the hunt begin.
