I believe that there is a fine line that divides successful people from the person who has the same scenario and they do it the same way but both end up with different results. That fine line is the difference on whether that person had the attitude to get by or to get better.

When you are given something to accomplish, whether a task by your boss or a request from your spouse, do you take the attitude of getting by or getting better?

Someone who gets by does just enough. Someone who wants to get better will give an extra 10%. They go one small step further.

To get by means to get past the moment. To get better means to plan for tomorrow.

So in what area are you? Are you getting by or are you getting better?
