“In the same way, none of you who are unwilling to give up all of your possessions can be my disciple. “Salt is good. But if salt loses its flavor, how will it become salty again? It has no value, neither for the soil nor for the manure pile. People throw it away. Whoever has ears to hear should pay attention.””Luke 14:33-35 CEB
To follow Jesus is to be willing to give up everything and the return is more valuable than anything.
“God is our refuge and strength, a help always near in times of great trouble. That’s why we won’t be afraid when the world falls apart, when the mountains crumble into the center of the sea,”Psalms 46:1-2 CEB
We don’t have anything to fear
when our world crashes down upon us.
For God is always here
To protect and give strength to help us.
“I put all my hope in the Lord. He leaned down to me; he listened to my cry for help.
Those who put their trust in the Lord, who pay no attention to the proud or to those who follow lies, are truly happy!” Psalms 40:1, 4 CEB
Those who are hurt but fully hope in Jesus are truly happy.
When we see we are helpless we can be happy because our hope is in Jesus fully being our help.
“He said to his disciples, “Where is your faith?” Filled with awe and wonder, they said to each other, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!””Luke 8:25 CEB
Our faith is tested in storms.
The storm reveals where your trust is.
God will use the storm to redirect our trust back to Him.
